Oh hello

behold: the first post.

yesterday was amzz's birthday. he's 15 now, i get so shocked! especially because i woke up thinking it was his 14th birthday (oops). We didn't do much, he wanted to just stay home and relax so we bummed around. he wanted ostrich meat for his birthday, a taste of Carnivore, that he really misses. It was meant to be a barbeque, but the weather here being what it is (yup, even in June), we had to settle for using the grill. it was ok though, he didn't know we were going to have ostrich as we left it a surprise and he got really excited. he also got some biltong (the south-african tough chewy meat stuff) and some t-shirts and jeans that he wanted. oh, and some dvd's (the blade trilogy). Our trip to see Stomp last week was also part of his birthday present, as it was mine. that was awesome.

today dad, amzz and i went to see mama and dada. mum had tonnes of work to do so she decided to stay home. minu-fee, sanjay-fua and the kids came round for lunch as well, and later on popat-kaka came for tea. i personally found it good to see him again, and vividly remembered the times when i was younger that i would imitate his laugh. those were the days in which i was teensy and it was cute without being too rude. i was all smiley in my head though. but then i got giggly, because he thought i was mama. basically, dad had taken mama to ealing road to shop (we have the car so we often take her to do heavy-goods shopping, like atta) and so they weren't home when popat-kaka arrived so dada opened the door and popat-kaka said hello to him, and when he saw me, he said 'madhu-ben!!' and then squinted a bit knowing something was a bit funny, and i just said 'gauri'. mama was in stiches when she heard. minu-fee was just earlier saying i looked like her a lot today, so this supports her theory i guess.

that was it for the weekend pretty much. i'll update when something write-able happens. :o)
